Therapy for people who look like they have it together but feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of themselves on the inside

You are capable, thoughtful, and self-aware. An still, something feels off.
This work focuses on developing a stronger internal sense of self so your choices, relationships, and boundaries stop feeling reactive or confusing.

Work with me

Life moves fast and asks a lot of you.

You are expected to perform, adapt, and stay functional even when you feel emotionally strained or disconnected.

Many people who come here are doing well on paper. They are thoughtful, driven, and responsible. And yet internally they feel unsettled, overextended, or disconnected from themselves and others.

That tension is not a personal failure. It is often a sign that your inner world has not had space to catch up with the life you are living.

You might be the person others rely on.
You push through, stay productive, and keep things moving even when you feel exhausted or emotionally disconnected.
You may have tried therapy before and gained insight without real change.
You may be skilled at explaining your feelings but struggle to actually feel them.
You may overfunction in relationships and lose yourself in the process.
You may have built a life that looks successful but does not feel settled inside.

You are not broken.

You are functioning without a strong internal anchor and that is exactly what this work helps build.

 OUR APPROACH

This is not therapy focused on symptom management or surface-level processing.

The work here integrates Internal Family Systems, attachment-based therapy, and somatic approaches to help you understand how your nervous system, internal parts, and relational patterns actually operate.

Rather than staying in your head, the work is experiential and relational. Change happens where your patterns live, not just where you can explain them.

This approach supports emotional regulation rather than emotional suppression.

It supports boundaries that feel embodied rather than performative.

It supports relationships that do not require self abandonment.

It helps develop internal authority rather than outsourcing worth to achievement, partners, or external validation.

The goal is not to cope better.

The goal is to feel more grounded, present, and self-led in your daily life.

 VALUES

This is a queer-affirming practice.

We work with LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples and non-traditional relationship structures through a non-pathologizing and affirming lens.

Your identities, desires, and relationships are not problems to be fixed.

The work focuses on helping you feel more secure, integrated, and aligned with yourself within the life and relationships you choose.

Who This Work Is For

This work tends to be a good fit for people who feel responsible for everything and everyone.

People who struggle to rest without guilt.

People who overthink relationships but continue repeating the same patterns.

People who are self aware but still feel emotionally stuck.

People who want depth, honesty, and real internal change.

This work may not be a fit for those seeking quick reassurance, advice only, or surface level solutions.

It may also not be a fit for those who are not ready to feel discomfort or take responsibility for patterns that are no longer working.

 TEAM

In addition to my own practice, I work with a small team of clinicians who share a grounded, relational, and affirming approach to therapy.

All clinicians work within the same core philosophy centered on building a stronger sense of self through relational, attachment-based, and somatic work.

Each clinician brings their own training, perspective, and areas of focus while working from a shared foundation of depth, accountability, and emotional integrity.

Clients may choose to work with me directly or with one of the clinicians on my team depending on fit, availability, and fee preference.

FEES AND INSURANCE

Sessions with Tarynn Dier are $275 for 45 minutes.
Clinicians on the team offer lower fee sessions with varying availability.

We are currently in network with Aetna and Cigna.
Clients using out-of-network benefits with other insurance plans may be eligible for partial reimbursement. A superbill can be provided upon request.

If you have questions about fees or insurance, our team can help you understand your options and determine the best fit.

Being capable does not mean you do not need support.

It means your support needs to be intentional, direct, and real.

If you are ready to stop overfunctioning and feel more grounded in yourself, this work may be a meaningful place to begin.
